Ghost and Strawberry Nails: Cute Halloween Art for Short Nails
October 24, 2026
Every October somebody sits down and tells me the same thing. They want Halloween nails, but no skulls, no blood, nothing that scares their kid’s teacher. They want cute.
This set is cute. Little ghosts, red strawberries, tiny hearts dotted over a sheer nude base. It’s spooky season, just the sweet version.
Why ghosts and strawberries get along
On paper they shouldn’t. One’s Halloween and the other belongs at a summer picnic. Look closer, though. Both are simple, round little shapes, both are easy to read from across a room, and both lean on red and white.
The hearts hold it together. There’s a scatter of small red hearts on almost every nail, next to a ghost, under a strawberry, around the edge of the spiderweb. One tiny thing repeated everywhere is what makes ten nails look like a single set instead of ten separate ideas.
The ghosts are friendly too. Two dots for eyes, an open little mouth. They look more surprised than haunted. A couple of them peek out from behind a strawberry, and that bit of overlap is what makes the set feel playful.
You don’t need long nails for this
People think nail art needs length. It doesn’t. These are short and rounded, about where a lot of you keep your nails anyway.
Short nails mean less room, so each nail gets one idea. A strawberry here, a ghost there, half and half on one. The bare nude base does a lot of the work because it gives every little drawing space to breathe. Fill the whole nail and it starts looking crowded fast.
Short also just fits real life better. Typing, cooking, kids, gloves at work. You get the fun without having to change how you use your hands for two weeks.
Planning your set before the 31st
Bring a photo. This one works, or anything you’ve saved. Then make a few choices.
How many ghosts? Two or three keeps it sweet. Put one on every nail and it leans harder into Halloween.
Want it to outlast the holiday? Strawberries and hearts don’t expire November 1. Keep the ghosts to a nail or two and the set still looks right into the next week.
Shiny or matte? This set is glossy, which makes the red pop. Matte gives a softer look, and we can talk through how each one wears.
Ask what your version will cost before we start. Hand-painted art is priced by what goes into it, and I’d rather you know the number up front.
Halloween is a week away, so the chairs fill up. If you want a set like this in time, now’s the time to come in.
We take walk-ins seven days a week, and you can book online if you want a time held. Bring your saved photo and we’ll paint the version that fits your hands.
